I really just need to share! Joyful news!
Guys, I’m gonna run for the Adidas 16KM Marathon this August! It all started with some couple of colleagues joining and what the heck I might as well run with them too. On my race bib my grandpa’s nickname will be written… “EMONG”. I will dedicate this run to him.
So how am I going to prepare for the run of my life? I’ll be doing a couple of jogs every morning by the beach to boost up my stamina and endurance. (It’s a shame I’m living just infront of a park with a beach but never did I try to jog in 2 years. I see people jog, cycle and do rollerblading every time.) I might be doing again some yoga. I need to practice some inner peace and flexibility during my off days.
Achievable? Totally can for some. A mountain to climb for me. Last night Bob just scoffed at me when I told him this news. I believe I will receive more from my friends too. Even my mother commented, “I thought you hate running?”
I can’t wait for it though. This will be a first for me. I’ll train myself for a month. I promise to be vigilant about it. I’ll buy a really cute pair of running shoes for it. And on the day of the marathon, I just need to make Bob promise that he will be waiting at every drinking pit with a banana for me. :P
